All walks are now posted (walk list is below).

  • The walks are led by volunteers and are free to attend. Check out Tips for Participants.
  • For most walks, you must sign up to attend. Sign-up instructions are provided on each walk page.
  • When you sign up for a walk, you will receive an email confirming your place or putting you on the wait list.
  • If you sign-up but find you cannot attend, please cancel (cancel button in your email confirmation).
  • If you're new to Jane's Walk Ottawa-Gatineau, check out Navigating the Schedule.
  • Review the covid guidelines. View guidelines.

This year's theme: Building Bridges

Closures that may affect your travel to the walks:

May 6-7: O-Train Line 1 service through downtown will be affected by a partial closure of the tunnel between Parliament Station and Hurdman Station. Buses will run between Hurdman and Lyon.

May 7: A number of roads will be closed for the CN Cycle for CHEO. Check here if you'll be crossing downtown for a Sunday morning walk. The closures are at different times for different roads, but all are over by 1:00 pm.

Land Acknowledgement

While you walk, we encourage you to think about and acknowledge the land where we live, work and walk. The Ottawa-Gatineau region is the traditional unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe people. The Algonquin People have inhabited and cared for these lands for millennia and we express our gratitude to and respect for them.

Enjoy the weekend!

Self Guided & Virtual Walks

Jane's Walk Ottawa-Gatineau also has a number of walks that you can do on your own. Check them out!
