Ādisōke is taking shape!

Français à suivre

Join us for a perimeter walk of the site of the future Central branch of Ottawa Public Library (OPL) and Library and Archives Canada (LAC).

The walk will take us around the perimeter of Ādisōke’s construction site, while our walk leader Paul describes the construction phases, helps us visualize its unique features, and highlights some of the sustainable features of the project, such as the 'green' concrete!

Paul has been working on this project for years — his deep knowledge and genuine excitement for this once-in-a-generation project will delight you and inform you on the details of Ādisōke.

Ādisōke (a-di-SO-kay) is an Anishinaabemowin word that refers to the telling of stories. This special name was bestowed by the Elders and members of the Kitigan Zibi Anishinābeg and the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation at a ceremony held August 5, 2021.
