Building LeBreton

Come explore LeBreton Flats, the site of one of the most exciting redevelopment projects in Canada. The walks will be led by the National Capital Commission staff behind the project. Through the Building LeBreton project, the NCC will transform this 29-hectare site into a landmark destination and community filled with parks and amenities. We'll view the progress made so far and learn about the Master Concept Plan vision that will shape the evolution of this historic site over the coming decades.

Location
Route

We'll meet on the plaza outside the lower level of Pimisi Station, near the benches on the west side.

From there, we will proceed west along the recreational pathways through LeBreton Flats, with several stops along the way before ending up where our pathway connects with the Ottawa River Pathway (just past where the recreational path goes under the Kichi Zībī Mīkan, previously the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway, near the Nepean Inlet). The total walking distance is about half a kilometre.

The site is accessible by  foot, bike and public transportation, with road access nearby..

There is paid street parking on neighbouring streets and paid parking at the Canadian War Museum.

Bike racks are available nearby in front of the Canadian War Museum, at Pimisi station, or at Pīndigen Park.
