Jane’s Walk with TD Park People: Exploring Ottawa's Parks

Sat Oct 11, 2025 - Sat Oct 11, 2025

In collaboration with TD Park People, Jane’s Walk is offering two walks celebrating our local parks, with a focus on the habitat parks provide for living things ranging from the macroscopic (trees, birds, and other wildlife) to the microscopic (the tiny and the microbial). Parks can play a vital role in providing shared spaces for all people and are an important resource for recreation, relaxation, and contemplation.

Jane’s Walk Ottawa-Gatineau is the proud recipient of a 2025 TD Park People Grant. These grants promote community events in publicly accessible green spaces that foster ongoing care and protection of these spaces. The events are focused on environmental education, sustainability, or stewardship that bring people together. Learn more about TD Park People here.

Jane's Walk is offering other walks this fall. See our Walks for OAW 2025.

About Jane's Walk:

  • Our walks are led by volunteers and are free to attend. Check out Tips for Participants.
  • For OAW, we are asking participants to sign up to give us an estimate of attendance. Sign-up instructions are provided on the walk page.
  • When you sign up for a walk, you will receive email confirming your reservation. There is no need to cancel if you find you cannot attend.

Indigenous Land Acknowledgement

While you walk, we encourage you to think about and acknowledge the land where we live, work, and walk. The Ottawa-Gatineau region is the traditional unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe people. The Algonquin People have inhabited and cared for these lands for millennia and we express our gratitude to and respect for them.

Self Guided & Virtual Walks

Jane's Walk Ottawa-Gatineau also has a number of walks that you can do on your own. Check them out!
