Let's admit it. The promises of Lansdowne have never been realized. Ottawa promised an "urban village". We were supposed to get a new, vibrant hub of activity. We didn't. In this walk, we're going to take a look at what went wrong...and what could still be done well at Lansdowne Park.

Starting at the staircase, we will walk to Exhibition Way (the main entrance), continue east along Exhibition Way, then head to the berm, the water fixture, and the skate park. At this point, we will approach the Aberdeen Pavilion. From the Pavilion, we will stop at the Horticulture Building, and continue west on Marche Way through the plaza to Bank Street. Then we'll turn north and head to Holmwood Ave. and walk east along Holmwood and then back to Bank St., where we will end.

The route will be mostly accessible, following paved paths and city sidewalks. Going up the berm is technically accessible (no stairs), but it could pose a challenge for those with mobility limitations. I would happy to make adjustments to the route if anyone will have difficulty climbing the berm.
