Join Katrina of Hidden Harvest Ottawa for this stroll to several nut and fruit trees in Centretown, and learn more about what may be hiding in your backyard. We will discuss basic tree identification, as well as harvest tips and historical tidbits for four to five food trees within a three-km walk.  Find out more about Hidden Harvest at ottawa.hiddenharvest.ca.

About the walk leader

Ever wished that there was someone who would help you pick and share your apples?  Ever wondered if the squirrels know something you don't about how delicious those nuts in the park are?

Hidden Harvest Ottawa picks and shares fruit and nuts which would otherwise go to waste around our city. By revealing our delicious fruit and nuts, Hidden Harvest makes good use of local food and inspires community members to plant trees for tomorrow which will feed us as well as mend our environment.

Katrina is a co-founder of Hidden Harvest, she loves trees and believes that caring for our urban forest is essential for our health and our future.
