Jane's Eye View of Little Italy Development

Little Italy has changed over the years, but the pace of change here will accelerate quite strongly in the next few years with the addition of a number of condominium towers and other development associated with the O-Train and LRT transportation corridors.  The federal goverment's Booth St. campus will be re-developed.  Many of the areas with single family houses will be replaced, and those that remain may seem overwhelmed by the new development projects. 

This walk will focus on where new development will be sited, and how it is expected to roll out.  We'll begin with an overview of the area as it is now, and then walk by the sites that will see some of the most intensive development.  The goal is to view the projected redevelopment through Jane's eyes... What did we get right? What is missing? What will the impact of getting it wrong be on this traditional neighbourhood?  How will this impact other neighbourhoods in Ottawa?
