Citizens as Co-Creators: A '100in1Day' Walk

Photo:  Pavilion at McNabb Park

As a lead up to the 100in1Day festival on June 2, this walk will explore the ways in which citizens co-create the neighbourhoods they live in. Starting in McNabb Park and weaving up and down side streets and Gladstone Ave., we will show examples of how individuals and community groups have influenced the social and built environments as well as the identity of the local neighbourhood in the park and on the streets. During the walk, we’ll be sharing ideas about ways that citizens can take action to improve the city, one small initiative at a time.

We'll meet at the entrance to McNabb Park from Bronson (near the skateboard park).  From there, we'll explore the park and then walk along side streets and Gladstone Ave.
