allsaints: Ottawa's new community event space

Photo:  Leanne Moussa in the sanctuary of All Saints Church.

allsaints event space is a community-driven project to preserve a beautiful stone Anglican Church that was home to Canada’s only Royal wedding, and the State funeral of Prime Minister Borden. Built in 1900, with its stain-glass windows and WWI war memorials, allsaints now hosts weddings, conferences, music, private events, as well as a small licensed café, artists’ studios, and an historical research firm called Know History. Leanne will take you on a tour of the building, describing how a partnership between businesses and local residents is working to save a neighbourhood icon. Leanne will also offer a sneak preview of how the property is expected to be developed over the coming years.
