Stittsville Main Street: Looking towards the future

Can Stittsville Main Street be Ottawa's next great neighbourhood street? With rapid population growth and a new Community Design Plan in place, the traditional village main street could be on the verge of a renaissance. We'll talk about the street's role in the old railway village, we'll have a look at where it stands today, and we'll talk about opportunities and obstacles as it begins to be transformed into a walkable, people-oriented main street.

The walk will start at Village Square Park at the intersection of Stittsville Main St & Abbott St, along the Trans Canada Trail. We'll walk north on Stittsville Main St. to about Beverly St., cross over, walk south to Carleton Cathcart St., and then north again to return to the starting point.
