A Place to Call Home: Sandy Hill's Housing Co-ops

Housing co-ops are all across Canada, providing a place to call home to thousands of Canadians. Sometimes, though, they can be tucked away in our neighbourhoods and we might not know much about them and the great communities that they are. Sandy Hill is home to four housing co-ops, each with its own unique story of how it began and what its community is like today.

On this walk, we'll stroll through Sandy Hill visiting all four co-ops, starting at Co-op Voisins and ending at St.Georges Co-op. Along the way, we'll hear from members about their co-op's history, what living in a cop-op is all about, and why they enjoy calling their co-op home. You'll gain an insider's view into co-op living and walk away with a better appreciation for this unique form of housing!
