This year's theme is centered around the best possible Beechwood Avenue for our community. The walk will be interactive and have different stops including pop-up murals, guerilla gardening, and impromptu gathering spaces. Community participation opportunity: bring some hardy plants from your garden and be prepared to plant them at designated places along the walk.
Starting at the corner of Beechwood & Mackay, we will walk up Beechwood Avenue as far as Acacia Ave. We will then walk back to St. Charles Church at 135 Barrette Street, where we will complete the afternoon.
Malachi Handler is the Programming Coordinator at the New Edinburgh Community and Arts Centre. He is a longtime fan of both the work of Jane Jacobs and Beechwood Village.

Some parts of the walk will take us over a grassy slope, but aside from that, the walk should be completely accessible.
