Wild Food in the City: Urban Foraging

In its fourth year, this fun and informative plant walk introduces participants to the wonderful wild and weedy plants growing in the urban environment that can be used as food and medicine. We`ll discuss how to identify wild plants, their edible, medicinal, and other traditional uses as well as proper harvesting & processing practices, methods of preparation, and wildcrafting & foraging ethics. Come out and meet the weeds!

When Amber isn`t tending to her Wild Garden, she can be found providing community members with, and teaching them about, bio-regional wild foods and herbs, grown and harvested using regenerative, permaculture practices.  You can find Amber's blog at thewildgarden.ca.
