Little Flâneurs

Join us for a stroll through Sandy Hill where little "flâneurs" are our guides. Flâneur is a nineteenth-century French term for an urban stroller and observer of city life. We will meander from the street to the park, stopping to observe what has taken the fancy of our neighbourhood children along the route. Bring a camera if you like, and see what your child finds interesting.
Since a flâneur may also be an artist inspired by his or her urban environment, we will end the walk with an art activity with the help of Bettye Hyde Co-operative Nursery School teachers. Here little flâneurs can paint their expressions of the walk or simply play! Ideal for JK to Grade 4.
Please Note: All children must be accompanied by an adult.
