Agnes Macdonald and St. Alban's Church

St. Alban's Church at Daly & King Edward in Sandy Hill is Ottawa's oldest surviving church building.  Many of Canada's political leaders attended St. Alban's, including Sir John A. Macdonald and his wife Agnes.   This walk will focus on the life of Agnes Macdonald and her involvement with the church and its social ministries in the 19th century.

The walk will be around the perimeter of the church and within a block of the church property.

Rev. Peter Cazaly is Pastoral Associate of St. Alban's Church, chaplain of Centre 454, a community ministry in the church and is the former historian of Upper Canada Village, a living history museum of 19th century Canada.
