Constance Bay Wildside Walk

Walk the trails and along the shoreline to experience the plants and the abundant wildlife. Experience Shinrin Yoku, too. We'll walk through part of the Torbolton Forest, designated by Ontario as a an area of natural scientific interest (ANSI), and returning along the Constance Bay (Lac Deschenes) shoreline. This is Ottawa's best kept secret natural area.

The beach at Constance Bay

We'll follow a three-kilometer loop, starting from the Lighthouse Restaurant and going into the forest, along trails, past the Community Centre, coming to the shore of Lac Deschenes at The Point Restaurant, then along the shore back to the Lighthouse.

Hank Jones has been giving urban nut tree tours around Ottawa since the 1970s. Several other naturalists living in the area will help conduct the walk.
