There are two places along the tour where a wheelchair must make a short detour before rejoining the tour. First is at the National Arts Centre. The second is between Lisgar Collegiate and the Corktown Bridge.
This is a popular walk that is regularly offered by Heritage Ottawa on Colonel By Day weekend. It showcases important buildings of varied styles from different eras, as well as the design and engineering of the canal, its bridges, and the former railway corridor.
Starting at the Bytown Museum, we'lll walk beside the locks to the Lockmaster's House, past the National Arts Centre, Confederation Park, the Drill Hall, Lisgar Collegiate and the Corktown Bridge. Optional return to Ottawa City Hall.
